Educate in science and technology as one of the basis to access employment and social inclusion.

Our project tries to improve education in science and technology through new forms of teaching. The objective is to educate students so that they become active citizens. The acquired skills let them take advantage of the opportunities that the future can offer in a STEM subject such as biotechnology. To do this, we will create low cost biotechnology laboratory equipment to be integrated into laboratories of European secondary schools and schools of developing countries.

Bring science and technology to teens through biotechnology, where anyone can build their own lab equipment.

Use our creative skills and expertise in biology and chemistry to help students, educators, and other citizen scientists achieve their goals.

Transfer real research to educational institutions and society by enabling a better understanding of science and technology.

  • To encourage science and technology as essential to enter the employment and social inclusion worlds, by means of innovative strategies at school. With that in mind, we will be using the activities presented to the students involved in the project and also the video tutorials and guidelines to be posted on the web page.
  • To foster individual and collaborative learning, using the educational resources available on our web page. This way, we will be promoting open teaching in our digital era.
  • To promote equity, social cohesion. Inclusion will be a priority in a field where gender equity has always been an issue.
  • To improve students’ competences, especially the linguistic and entrepreneurial ones, this can result in lower school quitters’ rate.
  • To strengthen the cooperation among european countries to improve the dialogue among cultures. Getting more possibilities to get a job and working offers, and a better social inclusion will be some consequences of the above.
  • To promote creativity and innovation, including the entrepreneurial spirit at all educational levels. Challenges and pair work will facilitate new learning approaches by stimulating the students’ involvement and decreasing school quitters’ rate.
  • To offer both students and teachers innovative learning approaches and tactics so that they can contribute to the resolution of possible problems around them, and thus protecting students at a disadvantage.
  • To implement teaching resources thanks to the development of specialized lab technology at school, resulting in the increase of the number of students  accessing scientific and technological studies. All this may help students at a disadvantage in formal schooling and will facilitate innovative practices.
  • To improve students’ and teachers’ science and technology abilities, and to promote citizen science. Students and teachers will handle scientific equipment to do research to get a better environment thanks to the accessibility and open education in the digital era.

The goals for this project not only follow the priorities of the European KA2 action, but also go along with some of the UNO Sustainable Development goals for 2030.

Enable students to become active citizens with the required skills

All the activities are expected to have a strong impact on the students social inclusion during the project and once it has been finished: This will be the result of our work methodology: teamwork, active involvement of the students in each step of the project, including monitoring, assessment and diffusion of the outcomes. Since we are dealing with technology related to the environment, it will be considered RRI (Responsible, Research and Innovation)

Improve the student's competences to promote equity, social cohesion and active citizenship.
